Documents Authentication Requirements

Note: Documents Authentication will require a minimum of three (3) business days

Documents issued in the United States

The U.S. Department of State’s Authentication Office must authenticate all documents issued in the U.S.

 

Note: The U.S. Department of State requires that all documents be authenticated by the State in which the document was issued.

Documents issued in South Sudan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation of South Sudan must authenticate all documents issued by the Government of the Republic of South Sudan.

The Embassy cannot authenticate any document that has not already been authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation

Documents Issued in Other Countries

All documents issued by countries other than the Republic of South Sudan and the U.S. must be authenticated by the U.S. Department State.

Embassy Authentication

The Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan will authenticate all original documents for use in South Sudan. Applicants must provide original documents already authenticated by the U.S. Department of State.

Commercial Authentication

$600 USD

Mailing Applications

Applicants mailing their application must include a prepaid return envelope with a tracking number.

Accepted carriers: FedEx, UPS, or Express Mail
